Car Leasing 301 - Car Lease Disposition Fee

Disposition Fee on Your Car Lease

Disposition fees are set by the leasing company and are a typical fee charged by the company. Not all lease companies charge a disposition fee, though research to know if it is applicable in your lease agreement. This fee is due at the expiry of your lease agreement to cover the cost to the leasing company for any expenses incurred to sell the vehicle – or disposing the vehicle. If you opt to purchase the vehicle at the end of the lease agreement, use the disposition fee as a leverage to negotiate as a cash back deal to go towards the purchase of the car.
