Car Leasing 301 - Car Lease Acquisition Fee

Bank Fee or Acquisition Fee

A bank fee is an administration fee charged by the vehicle leasing company. Often referred to as an ‘Acquisition Fee’ (define: acquisition fee), the bank fee is generally not specified in your lease agreement – not specifically anyways. This fee is included within you Cap Cost when calculating your monthly payments. If you’re seeking a luxury car or vehicle, typically will have a higher bank fee, or acquisition fee.

The acquisition fee is established by the leasing company. Though as a consumer, look for this fee as dealers sometimes increase this fee to increase their profit, which leaves room to negotiate.
